Akshar & Ashka's story is one of those rare, beautiful journeys where friendship manifests into love, creating something unexpected yet deeply meaningful. Their connection, which began in their early childhood was built on a foundation of shared memories and an undeniable bond that only deepened over time.

From their early days in Saturday school, they were two very different people: Ashka, the focused and serious student, and Akshar, the carefree, fun-loving type. It’s almost laughable to think that they would ever be anything more than good friends. Yet, as their lives intertwined over the years, particularly when they both ended up at Drexel University, the connection between them began to evolve in ways neither could have imagined.

When they arrived at college, they were just two familiar faces in a sea of new people. Both unsure of how their paths would unfold in such a large school, neither expected their friendship to stay as close as it had been in high school. Through the randomness of dorm placements, they found themselves living in the same building, and from there, their bond grew stronger. Their dorm became a gathering place for their friends, forming a tight-knit crew that became the heart of their college experience.

As they spent more time together, something shifted. Ashka began to see beyond Akshar’s goofy, carefree exterior. She discovered a gentler, more thoughtful side of him—a side that cared deeply about the people around him, even if he didn’t always show it. Akshar, too, began to see Ashka in a new light. Beneath her studious, organized nature was a fun-loving, adventurous spirit that he had never noticed before. It was in those moments of shared laughter, late-night talks, and spontaneous adventures that the seeds of something more than friendship were planted.

They continued to learn about each other and better understand each other, discovering how perfectly they complemented each other despite their differences. Akshar’s easygoing nature balanced Ashka’s more methodical approach to life, and Ashka’s determination brought out the best in Akshar. Together, they created something neither of them had expected—a relationship grounded in trust, respect, and above all, love.

On February 27th, 2024, unknown to Ashka, a surprise trip to Napa Valley was planned with her sister. Meanwhile, Akshar had flown in to propose, setting the stage for a moment neither of them would ever forget.

What started as a friendship blossomed into something far deeper, something that neither of them could have predicted when they first met as classmates all those years ago. It was a journey of discovering each other, not just as individuals, but as partners who would stand by each other through thick and thin, no matter what life threw their way.
